My 2026 Autumn Moodboard: Getting My Life Back Together🍂

There’s something about autumn that always makes me want to lock in and think about my goals for the season.

Not necessarily in the “new season, new me, completely reinvent my life” kind of way. More like… okay, maybe it’s time to get my life slightly back together.

After a summer of being a little too comfortable with restaurant dinners, spontaneous plans, spending money, late nights and generally taking the easy options, I’m ready for a bit more routine and structure.

This autumn, I want to focus on feeling good, getting back into some healthy habits and making everyday life feel a little more intentional.

So, here’s what’s on my autumn moodboard.🍂

💦Move my body more

One of my biggest goals is finally getting into a proper exercise routine.

This is something I say EVERY season. I want to start going to the gym, move my body more and, most importantly, actually make exercise a normal part of my week rather than something I keep saying I’ll start “next week”. To make the hurdle SLIGHTLY easier I’ve started with a one month subscription at the new gym in the apartment’s next to mine. The proximity of this gym, I hope, will make me be able to go down for a quick sweat even on the gloomiest of days.☁️

I’m not aiming for perfection or spending two hours at the gym every day. I just want to become someone who enjoys being active and feels stronger and healthier because of it.

🍝 More home-cooked meals

Summer has definitely been the season of “let’s just eat out.”

And while I absolutely have zero regrets about all the delicious food, my bank account might feel differently. 💸

This autumn, I want to get back into cooking at home more often.

I want comforting homemade meals, hearty stews and soups, try new recipes and having those cosy evenings where dinner is cooking while the house smells amazing.

Basically, I want to make staying in feel just as exciting as going out.

🚗 Get my driver’s licence

This one is a BIG one.

Getting my driver’s licence has been one of those goals for the autumn that has been sitting in the back of my mind, and this autumn I really want to make it happen.

More practice, more confidence and hopefully… a licence.

I want to be able to take our car and help my partner or get stuff done without having to ask about his schedule. I want to be able to take the car and visit my sister or Angel spontaneously without feeling like I need to aske to be dropped of at a bus stop or train station when it is time to get home. I want to be able to share the burden of longer rides with my boyfriend and have him actually be my passenger prince sometimes(I know some of you will find it cringe him included).

So yes, autumn is also my girl-get-your-licence era.

🥂 More fun with my favourite people

I also don’t want my autumn reset to become an excuse to stay home, count calories and obsess over productivity.

I want to have fun.

More dinners with friends. Little outings. Trying new places. Spontaneous plans. Date nights with my partner. Laughing until my stomach hurts.

I want more of those ordinary moments that end up becoming some of your favourite memories.

Because balance also means remembering that life is meant to be enjoyed.

💕 More quality time with my partner

This autumn, I want to be more intentional about doing things together, it doesn’t have to be grand it can literally just be watching TV at home together, but that’s the thing TOGETHER, present.

It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant.

A cute date night, a new restaurant, a home cooked meal, a little day trip, be creative together or finding something completely random to do on a Saturday.

And maybe even a cheeky little trip somewhere… 👀

Because apparently I’m incapable of making an autumn moodboard without adding travel to it.✈️

😴 Getting my sleep schedule back

My sleep habits have definitely seen better days. Getting a new early morning heavy schedule has resulted in late nights, inconsistent bedtimes and generally not giving myself enough time to properly wind down have become a bit too normal.

So this autumn, getting my sleep schedule back on track is another one of my goals for the autumn. I want to get back into a proper sleep routine. Earlier nights. Less scrolling. More winding down. I think I might even be able to merge this with other goals.

Future me will probably appreciate this one the most.

🏡 Keeping my home pretty

I really want this autumn is to stay on top of my home.

I love when my home feels clean, cosy and put together, but I’m also very good at letting things pile up and then suddenly deciding I need to clean the entire apartment in one dramatic session.

This season, I want to try to maintain it instead.

Fresh flowers, candles, cosy blankets, a tidy kitchen, clean sheets and little seasonal touches that make home feel extra inviting. I want to romanticise the mundane stuff a little more.

✈️ And maybe… a cheeky little trip

Because let’s be honest, what’s an autumn moodboard without at least one little escape?

I’m not necessarily talking about a huge holiday. It could be a spontaneous weekend somewhere, a cosy European city, a little road trip or simply somewhere we’ve never been before.

Just something to break up the everyday routine and give us something to look forward to. I’ll probably be checking flights anyway, so let’s not pretend this one is optional.

🍂 My autumn intention

More than anything, I think my biggest goal for this autumn is balance.

I want to take better care of myself without becoming obsessive about it.

I want to save money without saying no to everything fun.

I want to exercise, but also enjoy outings with my friends.

I want a clean home, but not stress if it gets messy.

I want routines, but still leave room for spontaneity.

I want to work towards my goals while also enjoying where I am right now.

So that’s the energy I’m taking into autumn:

This autumn isn’t about becoming a completely different person. It’s about becoming a little more intentional with the life I already have.

Same me, just taking better care of her. 🤎

Here’s to a cozy, productive, fun and slightly chaotic autumn. 🍂🤎
