As an avid tea drinker, I need a good kettle and now that my old kettle is on its dying breath I thought I would whip out the adult money and get me a good one that also looks good in the kitchen. Any kitchen rat has probably drooled over an SMEG appliance or two over the years and for me their retro-style kettle has really started to be justifiable for its markup price lately. I mean 2000SEK for one is an abomination but I want it… So I clicked it home. I sincerely hope this one is worth its price and will hold up for a while or I will seriously cry, haha!

The reason why I go for black even though I think the cream version is cuter is because most of our other appliances, at least the visible ones are black so I think it will match nicer. Also it will be close to the stove so the food splatter will probably be less noticeable on black( fingers’ crossed).
