Hello everyone,
I’ve been spending my morning tidying up my little living room nook. This has become one of my favorite spots in my new flat. I have mentioned before how good it feels to have separate living and sleeping areas in the house after moving from a studio to a one-bedroom apartment. Lounging here, be it watching something on the TV or drowning in a book is such a game changer when the bed is out of your periferie. Now that I’ve also finally gotten my bed in place and the spaces have been truly separated(after 3 months of sleeping on the couch) my creative, interior-style juices have started flowing again. All the walls of the apartment are white so I’ve been eager to personalize and bring some warmth to them with some wall decor.
I stumbled upon the webpage Happymoment which allows you to print your own memories on high-quality paper and frame them to get VERY personal and beautiful artwork in your space. Me, who has become the softer and cheesier version of myself with my current long-distance relationship decided to print out one of my favourite pictures of me and my boyfriend that my friend Adina took of us in LA, ta-dah!
Right now the best space for this cutie is the living room in my opinion but once I have the hallway or entryway more put together I think that will be the place for it. It’s an adorable picture of us that fills with me happiness which makes me feel like the entryway will end up being the perfect spot for the framed picture, so he and I will have a rush of happiness whenever leave and come back home. Right now that place is a bit too bare so it feels sad to waste its potential there at the moment.
This was the first time I had my own pictures professionally printed and framed and I love the result. I think that once we start decorating the rest of the walls I might use Heymoment again and maybe develope some of BF’s wild life photography, cause I know he loves them and using them in our decore could be fun. They had this fun concept of photo tiles that could be cute with some of his animal photographies either in the hallway or maybe even the bathroom? Or maybe just a classic photowall? I’m leaning toward the photoplattor just because I want to try out their easy to re-arrange or remove adhesive which sounds super renter’s friendly!
I know that the Swedish Heymoment site is having a 25% winter sale with free shipping at the moment so if you have a special memory you want to print out I check out their page~
Some of you might have a special someone, romantic or platonic you want to surprise with a gift for valentines, they have some gift ideas here~
