Of course, I didn’t want to give up my quality time with my boyfriend. We have been doing long distance since the end of May so seeing him now was one if not my top priority(eww cheesy). This gave me one day after landing from Japan and 2 days before I got the keys to the new flat to pack up as many things as I could for the move day. The unlucky part of getting this apartment is that the period of time I have to tell the landlord I want to move from my old flat is 3 months so in the worst case I would have to pay 2 rents about 15 00 SEK between September and November( update that’s exactly what happened). A good part of the 3-month notice period is that I could move the smaller things slowly and do a deep clean of the old flat at my own pace.
When I moved apartments in September I had a quite speedy move. I got to know I was approved for a bigger flat while in Japan on vacation and the move would be on September 1st, about 10 days after I came back to Sweden on the August 19th. Small anecdote, I had also promised my boyfriend that I would go and visit him in Sheffield before I started work on September 1st. Can you see how things start to mash together here…
