This is another thing I get sort of made fun of by my near and dears! Last year…or the beginning of this one, I got myself a Belgian waffle iron. I just love the density and feel of them since completely converting to them in Korea. Some days, I even just whip up a serving as a snack. I make them slightly sweeter and they get a calzones rotos/sourdough donuts vibe.
For me, the whole recipe part is hard because I, more often than not wing my recipes! But I’d say it is something like:
- 2dl flour
- 1-1,5 dl of milk
- 1-2table spoons of sugar
- a pinch of salt
- 1 egg
- 0,5dl of a neutral oil or melted butter
- If you feel extra fancy dust some icing sugar on top after they come out of the iron
