I moved apartments now in September and as preparations for a smoother move I decided to give SELLPY a try. SELLPY is website that makes it easier for you to give clothes and accessories you no longer need a second chance. It’s an easy 5 step process in order to get started with.
order bags and start picking put things that are worth 50SEK/5EUROS or more. Clean the clothes and have them ready for when your bags arrive.
Bonus: If you have things that aren’t exactly seller friendly but you feel it is unnecessary to not use the materials for their best purpose the SELLPY green bag is for you to but in any fabric you’d like to send to recycling.
Pack your ordered bags with things you want to sell and your recyclables. Remember to not pack them more than 15-20 KG let’s think of the backs of the people who do the sorting of these clothes later.
Depending on where you live( I’m guessing) you can either drop off your SELLPY bags at a drop off point or schedule a pick up at your door. Whatever suits your lifestyle best~
Now we have done our part. The SELLPY team takes care of the rest. The sorting, photos, pricing and selling is all done by them. They will send you a offer of price points and descriptions of your things and you can review them before they go on sale.
When the sales start dropping on you get a percentage of the money. The seller(we) get 40% per sold item and 70% if the item sells for more than 500SEK/70 EUR .There is also a 10SEK/1EUR flat fee for posting the add online. You decide if you want the money paid out as SELLPY credits that you can use to shop, donate to a charity of choice or directly to your account 🙂

- Think about what you try to sell. Is it in a condition that you yourself would pay for?
- Think about the season. You get told approximately when you things will be up for sale. Things for the appropriate season sells better.
- Things it bad condition, dirty or smell will not be sold.
- For hygienic purposes, make up and other beauty products that have been opened will not be sold. This include brushes and oral care.
- Bootleg, fakes and copies: Fake designer goods, pirated movies or CDs or E-books will not be sold.
- medicine, weapons, tabacco-goods etc will not be sold. Protective gear such as helmets will only be sold if packed in original packaging and with the tag still on.
- Offensive goods: pornographic, racist, sexist, violence glorifying or discriminating texts or pictures.
- make up or beauty samples.
