Om man någonsin har varit utomlands, speciellt i ett östasiatiskt land så tror jag de flesta kommit i kontakt med dem här ”konstiga” toast-mackorna som är fullproppade med saker. Vi brukar ju ha lite mer ”simpla” smörgåsar… typ 3-4 toppings max, eller? När jag var i Korea och man såg stands som sålde mackor, asså självklart hade de vanliga ham and cheesse, bara cheese och så, men det som såldes mest var dem FETT tjocka, och fulla mackorna med typ, skinka, ägg, någon sås, sallad, tomat, någon schnitzel bit, potatis, ALLT? Jag käkade nog inte dem så många när jag var där för det kändes som att de var för mäktigt men nu när jag är hemma i Sverige är det väl klart att jag ska få någon super craving?! För de luktade amazing!
Jag tror jag har nämnt det innan men ibland vill jag inte äta en riktig måltid utan bara något snabbt och gott som gör mig mätt. Här om dagen blev jag påmind av dessa street toasts och gjorde min egna lilla variant och kan bara säga att den satt rätt på alla sätt och vis, MUMS! alla mina cravings försvann med en och samma macka, haha!

If you’ve ever been abroad and especially in Southeast Asia you’ve most likely come in contact with some amazing street food! When I was in Korea I saw these amazing fully loaded street toasts that were completely new to me. Here in Sweden, our sandwiches tend to have maybe 3-4 toppings max and are pre-made, am I right? But these street toasts in Korea were made at the spot and could have almost anything on them, I think I saw one with eggs, bacon a croquette, salad…. mind you these sandwiches smelled and tasted amazing! I didn’t dig into them too often mostly because I usually got overwhelmed with all the ingredients and felt like I would explode by only standing in the queue! But the few times I did all my cravings were set in one sandwich!
I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned it before but I’ve ended up in a habit where I sometimes around a mealtime don’t feel like having an actual plate of food but rather just want a quick snack that will be delicious but fill me up. I’ve been daydreaming about these Korean street toast for a couple of days now and finally decided to just make one with my own twist. Needless to say it hit all the right spots for me then, haha! Like I said it’s a thing that satisfies all the cravings at once.
