Ohhh, everyone!
I’ve been having a rough couple of months living paycheck to paycheck that have really tested my frugality and prioritization skills! In September I moved into a one-bedroom apartment from my studio apartment in order to make my boyfriend’s and my application to co-habituate easier. He is not a EU citizen so needs to apply for a long time visa if he wants to live with me in Sweden. From what I could tell there was no REQUIREMENT for us to have a separate bedroom BUT it felt better applying for one if we could, then there would be no reason to deny us because of our living conditions. ALSO I love him but having a separate bedroom to retreat to when I have early 06:00 morning shifts and have to go to bed early will be SO nice. I’m impressed with how well we made it work when he lived with me for about 4-5 months last autumn/this spring. But us not having to tiptoe when the other one wants to sleep. It will give me peace when he can play his midnight games to his heart’s content and I can wake up earlier than his liking and chill in the living room with a cup of tea and some YouTube ~!
November was the last month I had to pay rents for both my old and new apartment, which racked up to around 16 000 sek… So this month’s salary I get to keep an additional 7000 and it feels so good~ Finally we have quite a bit more free-flowing money to use. It will be nice to be able to start adding more to my savings, and emergency funds and have some fun money left over as well. Here’s to getting our financial things in check!
