Today is my last day in Tokyo cause I will be moving on to Seoul tomorrow morning. With that said I will be going to bed quite early today so that I’m not a zombie on the train into Narita tomorrow, I have to take the first one at 6:00 am…
Anyhow, lucky for me I’ve done all the things I had planned and yesterday I had a cozy izakaya evening with Lina. We went to a chicken place called Sekai no Yama-chan(I’m guessing it supposed to translate to the world’s best or well known Yama-chan). I really wish we had these types of pub-like places in Europe too. Places where you can just sit down with your friends and have a comfortable talk and snack on good food and not just nuts and chips!
We had some different kinds of chicken, karage, fried wings, spicy fried wings, sashimi and fried tofu, which was surprisingly good!Some of my friends from back home couldn’t really tell what the chicken was which made me laugh out loud and almost wake everyone up in the hostel room. I mean, I can kind of agree that they slightly resemble frog legs from that angle, haha. We also had some drinks, which is a must when you are at an izakaya. I tried a highball which is basically just whiskey topped with soda and shouga sours which is lemon, simple syrup, tonic water and shochu(Japanese potato alcohol).
Okay, so I want to add a thing I’d like to bing with me from Japan the convenience stores and the izakayas!Is there any concept from other countries you’d like your home country to adopt?
Idag Ă€r min sista dag i Tokyo för jag kommer förflytta mig till Seoul imorgon bitti och lĂ€ngtar sĂ„Ă„Ă„Ă„Ă„Ă„ mycket! Med andra ord sĂ„ kommer jag lĂ€gga mig ganska tidigt idag eftersom jag mĂ„ste ta ett tidigt tĂ„g till Narita imorgon. Imorgon mĂ„ste jag ta det första tĂ„get kl 6:00 pĂ„ morgonen… Hur som helst, sĂ„ lyckades jag med alla mina planer för Japan och igĂ„r sĂ„ gick jag och Lina till en izaskaya efter hennes jobb. En izakaya Ă€r som en blandning av en bar och en restaurang, stĂ€llet vi gick till hette Sekai no Yama-chan, jag gissar pĂ„ att det kan översĂ€ttas till vĂ€rldskĂ€nda Yama-chan eller vĂ€rldens bĂ€st Yama-chan eller nĂ„t. StĂ€llet vi gick till specialiserade sig pĂ„ kyckling men de hade massa olika matrĂ€tter och sidorĂ€tter man kunde köpa och mumsa pĂ„ medan man sitter och sippar pĂ„ sina drickor. Vi olika typer av kyckling eftersom det Ă€ndĂ„ var ett kyckling stĂ€lle, grillad karage, grillade kyckling vingar i sojamarinad och lite starkare med, Lina ville verkligen ha fisk sĂ„ vi Ă„t en tallrik med blandad sashimi och förvĂ„nandsvĂ€rt god friterad tofu som jag inte ens visste var en grej! Sen, sjĂ€lvklart eftersom vi var pĂ„ en izakaya sĂ„ Ă€r dricka ett mĂ„ste! Jag testade pĂ„ en highball som teknisktsĂ€tt bara Ă€r whiskey och sodavatten och en shouga sour(citronjuice, sockerlag, sodavatten shochu (japansk potatis alkohol)
Okej, sÄ jag vill lÀgga till en sak pÄ listan av saker jag vill ta med mig hem frÄn Asien sÄ alla convience stores och dessa izakayas! Finns det nÄt koncept frÄn ett annats land ni skulle vilja ta med er hem?
